How buying works

Do you accept a purchase order?
Yes, on any department plan. We invoice in sterling, VAT is stated separately on the invoice, and the billing year runs September to August so it lines up with a school budget rather than with the day you signed up.
How long is the free trial, and what happens at the end of it?
It runs to the end of the current term. A school calendar has no fourteen day unit in it, and a trial that expires in the middle of a half term is a trial nobody finishes. At the end, work you have authored stays yours and stays exportable, whether you buy or not.
Are pupils charged for?
No. Every plan is priced on teacher seats and pupils are unlimited, so no child is ever a line item on an invoice. That is a data protection decision as much as a commercial one.
What happens when a teacher leaves, or a department grows?
A seat is reassigned rather than repurchased. If the department outgrows its plan, the difference is invoiced pro rata for the rest of the billing year.
Where is our data held, and who is the controller?
The school is the controller and Ribn is the processor. Pupil data is held in the United Kingdom. The full answer, including the data processing agreement, the sub-processor list and the retention position, is on the school leaders page.
Can we see it before we commit?
The marking is on the front page, running, with no sign-up and no email address, and you can type anything you like at it. Try it. Beyond that, the honest position on what is built and what is not is on the about page.
